Reunited And it Feels so Good!

Happy Birthday Cheryl!

On November 20, a few years back, a pretty little baby girl came into this beautiful world.  Fifteen years later, in high school, we became friends.  Almost 10 years later, she's still one of my best friends.  Her name is Cheryl and I don't know what I would do without her.  I'm very protective of her and we hardly disagree which makes things so easy.  I am thankful for her friendship to me throughout the years and hope that we can continue to be friends forever, whatever the weather.

Christmas 2004

There are seven of us girls from high school that ate lunch together everyday at the round tables in front of the school.  We'd buy ourselves Christmas presents instead of getting seven individual gifts, we'd buy balloons for each other on our birthdays, because back then, it was super amazing to have a lot of them follow you around school all day.  Since then, some of us have moved to go to school in the mainland, and some of us have just carried on with our owns lives but finally, we're all back home and we're taking advantage of it.

2002 - FOREVER! <3

For Cheryl's birthday we got together at Ruths Chris's Steakhouse in Restaurant Row.  It was the first time in a few years that all seven of us were back together and we all had our man-friends with us too - reservation for 14, please!  We enjoyed our special meal together and then ventured to Home Bar & Grill just down the road for a few drinks.

It was special to me for all of us to finally be together again.  Nikki had said she was so excited for all of us to finally live at home again.. then I had to break the news to her about me possibly leaving.  I'll miss my girls but I'll be back for sure.

Falling Together..

Departing Nevada over the Las Vegas Strip
Since my last post, I've made another trip to Las Vegas including a road trip over to Mesa/Pheonix, Arizona for a job interview.  Let's just say that the trip was well worth it and now I'm in the process of learning how to move to the mainland.

I will report to the headquarters on January 3, 2012 for the first day of a five and a half week training class... I'm excited, nervous, anxious, and scared all at the same time.  Half the time I don't know what to do with myself while wallowing in all the excitement and anticipation.  Plus the stress of having to move all 23 years of my life across the Pacific Ocean between Christmas and New Years... wish me luck this Christmas, I'll be needing it!

Kimo and I have been through some rough spots in the last month regarding the new job and move but he's finally warming up to the idea.  Nothing means more to me than his support and I can't wait to make a home for us and a life together with him.. It'll be amazing.

Although I feel like I'm being thrown around on an emotional roller coaster at times, I am so happy that things are finally falling together for me.  In the next few months I'll have my dream career established.  Then hopefully things can only get better, right?
